I am so excited to have been invited to be the featured artist for the Lubbock Arts Festival in Lubbock Texas. I was so shocked that they asked me. The theme is red white and blue. I love to paint flags and patriotic themes. If you are close to Lubbock in April drop by and say hello!
I only got 3 small paintings done this Christmas. The joy Angel was sold. I really love painting Christmas joy and the meaning of Christmas. Thanks for all the support during 2021 and Happy New Year. 2021 had a lot of blessings and miracles. I am praying that 2022 will be a great year for us all.
My painting of my daughter when she was 6 or 7 was accepted into the SWA show in Fort Worth,TX. I am thrilled that it received an award. I still remember the day she took care of this little bird she found in the yard.

My painting 'Wear Your Mask' was accepted into the New Mexico watercolor society show. It is held in Albuquerque, NM in October.
This is 22x28 and is a poured watercolor. The mask was from a photo from Florence Italy. I thought the name would be appropriate for what we have all been going through, even though the mask is not the right kind!
Wow! I didn't realize its been so long since I posted anything. I have been busy. We did get to go to Italy in July. We didn't know until the last minute really, but it all worked out. It was a wonderful trip. Definitely unforgettable! We are scheduled to go back in September 2023. The class isn't full yet if you are considering going.
I have done so many sketches. Filled up 2 sketchbooks. There are too many to post, but I will add some.

I got into the Texas Watercolor Society Show this year and will receive my signature status! yay! I really didn't think I would ever get in that show. This painting was poured using 3 colors plus black. It is pretty messy but such fun. I actually did this one as a demo for my art students.
