Little Herd

"Little Herd"
was painted at Ceta Canyon where West Texas Watercolor Society had our annual art retreat. What fun we had!! We painted all day and into the night. No worry about cooking or cleaning.  The phones didn't work so there was not any ringing, etc. I loved it! While there we all do our own thing, but we try sometime to get outside 'our box' and do something different. so this is mine! A good friend, Nancy from Colorado paints everything all colorful, so I thought I just had to try it, and I didn't have a clue what I was doing but was such fun!  I was sorry she had already left, because i needed help!  The whole time I was painting it, I was laughing, thinking, I can't believe I am doing this! and WHAT color to use next!  I recommend this to everybody, just to see if you like it.
I know I want to do some more.

Snack Time

I painted 'Snack Time' today on a 6x9 paper that I had done an under painting, after taking a workshop in Cloudcroft, NM  with Judi Betts.  These under paintings can become addictive! They are fun to do, and seems to give the painting a little structure or 'something.'  Not sure exactly what, but i like it.

At the Fair
