This year we went to Florida for a few days. we loved the white sand and the ocean.

2026 Calendars

This year I made calendars with western art that I have painted, collaged or sketched.

Springtime Hide-a-way

I entered this in the

West Texas Watercolor Society Show and won

Honorable Mention award.

This entry allows me to get signature status. I can add

WTWS to my paintings now.

I got a message from an online fb friend wanting to come by and sketch a day with me. They drove from Canada to Mexico with a stop here on their way and we had a blast. Of course we all sketched cotton.

We visited a local ranch, and then spent time on our farm seeing the cotton and they rode the cotton stripper. they had a ball riding that huge machine.

I hope we can get back together someday. It was such a pleasure to have them stop by for a visit.

Carla Flegel and Deborah Nicol from Canada are headed to Mexico and came by to meet up and sketch together. We had a blast. It's amazing how much fun people who create have together.

Puffs in the Patchwork

I learned a new technique using gouache and ink. I drew the cotton in pencil and then painted with gouache and coated with ink after it dried. Then washed with clear water until the color appears. Is a lot of fun to watch it unfold. It feels magical.
