Dead Vehicle Challenge

James Gurney posted a challenge...Paint a dead vehicle. One that doesn't run. Car or truck.
I wanted to do this old vehicle for a while so I set up there and did it.  It had to be painted on location, and you had to post a photo of your easel, etc.  This old international is in Plains, TX.
I started out trying to use oils but I don't paint enough with oil to know what to do, so I ended up using a sketchbook, and drawing it with my fountain pen and ink, then painted with watercolor and a little gouache.

July Picnic

This just reminds me of a summer picnic.  I started this as a demo for the
Women's Club in Lubbock, TX and finally had a chance to finish it.  Cherry Pie is my favorite!

This Little Piggy

I am still working on some AG collages for the 2018 Calendar.  This little piggy was fun to do.  He's taking the time to smell the 'flowers' as well as have a little nibble!

Corn Collage

Another ag painting, for the Calendar I am doing.  The Corn got a little tedious, but was fun to do.
I used some painted paper in this one. Some colors are just hard to find.

American Tractor

John Deere is the all American Tractor in my book! We have a few of them. Love seeing them, hearing them, smelling, riding.....all of those!

This was done for an Ag Calendar and is sold.

Taco Truck

I was asked to do a Taco Truck for someone who has several stores. It was fun after I got started with all the bright colors.  It is 16x20 on stretched canvas and is available .
