New Mexico Watercolor Society

NMWS show is coming up starting May 5.  I had two paintings accepted. I am thrilled to get in for the fifth time!

The show is in Albuquerque, NM.

Days 1-15 of 30 faces in 30 days

I am doing the 30 faces in 30 days challenge, through an app called Sktchy. Boy it has been hard! It started March 15th, and it has been very hard to keep up.  I am posting the first 15 days! Sktchy sends out a photo each morning for us to work from. It might be about a nose, or an ear, etc.
This is 1-15.

Steps for painting an old truck.
1.misket on sun lit areas as well as some grasses
2. start adding colors and putting kosher salt on rusty areas. Quinocrodone burnt orange for rust.
3. glaze in whatever grass color you want. very watery and pale.  after it dries you can add more grasses.
4. keep adding glases and misket. and salt.
5.paint the sky

Society of Watercolor Society Show

I entered 'Peek a Boo' in  the Society of Watercolor artist of  Fort Worth and was accepted.  Don Andrews was the juror.
I took this photo somewhere around Kerrville, TX.  Such a cute little donkey!
It is 22x28. watercolor. The Show is April -May.

Smoke'n Canon

I did this for a photographer friend in Lubbock. She took some art photos, and we exchanged our crafts! It was fun to have the photo taken...and it was fun to create this piece for her.

Sadie

Sadie is my daughters sort of new puppy. She has had her a few months. She is such a sweet little girl. Loves everybody!
