This was done for our pianist at our church.  Each Sunday she plays so beautifully and is always there!
We are so lucky to have Shari playing for us, and I just know that beautiful sounds come from their home daily.

I did this last year for our neighbor who plays the piano at our church. 

Her music is always so beautiful, and she is such a sweet person! 

This was so much fun to do for Shari as a thank you!

Strum'n

I finished the Guitars that I started at the Festival this past week end.  I added strings, and some music.
Not sure about the strings yet. I may do away with some. I am still trying to decide. I don't like cutting paper and putting on my work, but I didn't really know how else to put the strings. I never did find any stripes that would work!

Carolina Opry

Last year when Keri and I went to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, we got to go to the Carolina Opry.
It was awesome. The music was the best! This guy was one of the many photos I took while enjoying the music and dancing.
This is the technique I learned from Kay Smith using phone book pages glued down, then painted with gouache. It also has some collage.  The saxophone is done with the torn paper like I do my other collages.
