Quick Watercolor Study

 'Quick Watercolor Study'
6x9

I had a piece of paper that had a weird under-painting on it, so I just drew off this little set up, and painted the painting in less than an hour. working as quickly as possible.leaving some of the under-painting showing thru.
I tried to put the subject where the white would work best, like the icing on the cupcake, the highlight on the egg.
(which looks like potatoes!)  The main thing was it was fun, and quick. I  have been doing so many of the collages, I have missed the watercolors, but I think it has helped me be a little faster and not so detailed.

Wonderful quick job! I've actually seen fancy cupcakes with that type of icing. If its buttercream, I'll take one. :)

I love this painting. Such nice changes of colors in the neutralized colors and nice values relationships. It is hard to imagine that it is so small. It is a jewel.

Great job. Think the values are great and the underpainting really adds interest.
