Woodie

I was ask to do an old Woodie with the torn paper collage.  I researched it, and was surprised at the history about them! It is really interesting, that they turned into cars for surfers! You should look it up and read about them. It is spelled Woodie and Woody, but Woodie was the first spelling. I can't believe some of these old relics were really made with wood.  I always thought it was just decoration.

I plan on having a torn paper collage workshop March 28-29 in Plains. If interested please let me know as soon as possible, as I need to make plans for a building.

Hi Suzy, I love this! My husband owned a Morris Traveller (or Woody) when we were in England during the past few years. It was made in 1966 and only had three previous owners. we used her everyday for running around town. Sadly we sold her before moving back to the States last year. The back part has a metal and wood structure, and the wood needs quite a bit of up keep over the years. Ours had the original leather interior and original dials etc....it had not been zooped up.....and the original color. She was a cutie!

I still have a lot to do. these were commissions...sort of..for the company who have licensed some of my art.
