Memorial Day Sketches

While trying to get another class together, I decided we would do something in honor of Memorial Day since it is coming up. These are all sketches from my flag album. Every time I go somewhere, I take photos of flags. All but one is done with the Tombow and Elegant Writer and Ink.
The top left photo was from somewhere in NM,
The top right, 'Ruidoso', is drawn with ink and painted. The middle 'Thank You' is from a photo in Hobbs, NM. and it says it all.  A friend and I went to a Memorial Day Parade, many years ago, and that was the  home-made sign in the barber shop window.
The bottom left 'Freedom of Religion' is a church from somewhere, and the last ' Home Sweet Home'  is a house from somewhere.  I don't always remember where they came from.
I am so thankful for all of our veterans.

I have had a look at your sketches from your branding pictures. They look great! As you know I´m also into horses :)
Take care!

Suzy, I just love your sketches. To me these must make one fabulous book! Thank you too for your wonderful heart for American veterans. I'm right there with you.

I spent some time looking at all the wonderful sketches you've been doing and I am so impressed. I remember back then you did some work on a daily basis to get you started and mentioned the name of an artist that inspired you with some guide lines etc.. I wrote the name of that artist because I wanted to give this a shot but can't find it anymore. Could you please let me know who it is.

Suzy, this is such a wonderful style you have developed. I think I could do this in the truck at night and it would improve my drawing skills which I've lost so much.

Your cards are gorgeous..I love how you do them.
I also have a collection of Flag photos and started with 9/11 taking photos of the tribute signs too...
Like you, especially the flags against the blue skies or sunsets
I might not remember exactly where, but always remember the why...Thank you for sharing.
Peace,
Siggi
