This is the second Manikin ...putting clothes on her made me think of my paper doll days! And do you remember Betsy McCall? I couldn't wait for my Mother to get her McCall s magazine and turn to the very back and get the paper dolls out of the back with the newest fashions! Those memories came back as I was working on these two! I still have a couple more different ones yet. They are such fun.
This Manikin was also in the Chrome store in Lubbock.
This is a blog of my art journey. It has been such fun, and God has blessed me with art. If you want updates of my posts, fill in your email address below. Shopping
This is a silly Manikin at a store in Lubbock, TX. Their name is 'Chrome'. They had a lot of different and fun stuff! They are on 19th Street if you are in this area, and want to visit! They also have some of the very weird shoes!
I had so much fun doing this! I have some more views, dressed differently so there will probably be some more coming! This is mixed media, using the phone book pages first, done on hot press paper...Then painted with Gouache and collaged with scrapbook paper.

The Roswell Daily Record
I entered the juried art show in Roswell, NM.
The Roswell Fine Arts League (RFAL)
They accepted three of my paintings. Two Watercolors, and one of my collages. The newspaper called and interviewed me about the old truck that I painted. There were 2 other interviews in the paper from other artists
Last year at our art show, our rancher neighbor and friend came in to see the show, and I ask him if I could go out to his ranch and take photos of his horses and cows. Of course he said yes, and I went out that afternoon, and when I drove up,
this old truck greeted me! I loved it, and took more pictures of it than I did of the cows! I just love the old vehicles, and the way they look! They have such character. The opening reception is August 16th in Roswell, NM.
