I have 8 days of sketching! I have challenged myself to sketch each day for a year! I hope I can follw through. Here are some of the first 8 days of January! I have done some experimenting with just using lines, and I like it!
I have a sketch blog where I am adding each day, if you want to sign up for notifications you can add your email there.

First Painting of the Year
I have been doing some sketches from our trip to Tennessee, which are on my sketch blog
Suzy Pal Sketches I did a barn
and a friend saw it on face book and wanted one like it so I got it done today. I used the same technique using brown water soluble ink. I love this ink. It is by DeAtrementis and is called Tobacco. It just melts into the paper. I really like it! Give the sketches a different look.
This was done on hot press paper which i don't normally use.
