Santa Fe #4

I loved the purple mailbox.  Several of the gates had these kind of mailboxes.
This is 5x7, acrylic on gessobord.
I did sketches first of todays, and one for tomorrow. If you want to see them, I have a sketch blog

Santa Fe #3

This isn't really a gate, but the color caught my eye. I wondered why they would have
blue windows and green door, but I liked it anyway!
This is 6x8 acrylic, and available on my website

Santa Fe #2

I am already wondering WHY I decided to do the challenge! haha, but I am no quitter so I will stick it out. So here is Gate #2.  I had to change some colors because it just wasn't working for me.
It is 5x7 acrylic, and available.

Santa Fe #1

I decided at the last minute....the day before... to join the 30 paintings in 30 days, starting today.
It is really a challenge just to get something painted each day.  I am planning on doing Santa Fe Gates, but may not be able to stand to paint 30 of them! I am also trying with acrylics, always trying to challenge and push myself to improve.  So far, I don't like acrylics!
they will be posted on my website in the store area if you are interested in buying any of them.

Dragonfly

One more little Camper for the October Workshop! This is 8x10 stretched canvas.
These are fun to do but hard! Especially the smaller ones.  The small ones are harder to do because of such small pieces.

Vacation Time

I am preparing for a workshop for 'Sisters on the Fly' a group of women who have vintage campers, and travel together in caravans! I am so excited to get to get together and meet some of them.
They will collage their own camper, or whatever kind of camper they want to do!
This will be in October, coming up fast!

Summer Fun

I have been invited to do a workshop with the group 'Sisters on the Fly' in October.
I am so excited to get to meet them and see their cute campers.  This is 'practice' to get ready.
It was fun but a little tedious since it is only 8x10.  The Silver didn't want to stick, so I had some issues with it, but was a fun piece to do!

Lubbock Arts Festival

The West Texas watercolor society always paints small works to sell.  This is a wonderful art get together. It is coming up in April.  thi...
