In My Mama's Shadow

I took some photos at a ranch last year, and loved this mama and baby. The sun was shining and making neat shadows.  The Hereford cattle are so pretty. Love the Brown and white.

Old International Pick Up

It has been hard to keep painting with having had foot surgery. It is harder to get around, but hopefully I can get back to daily painting. I have missed it.

New Mexico watercolor show

I did this sketch of this saddle and horse and I liked it so I decided to try it in watercolor.

It was accepted in the NMWS show In Albuquerque NM and I found out it won an award! Am excited just to be in the show but an award is fun too!!

I used brown tobacco ink and love it. I wondered if I could use it on a painting...and think it worked! 

First Place-Lubbock TX Arts Festival

This week end was the Lubbock Arts Festival. I didn't get to go, but my daughter sent pics as well as several friends. I was so excited and shocked to get first place.  There is so much beautiful work at that festival, and I am honored to have gotten a ribbon and recognition!
This was the hardest piece I have done, and one of my favorites!

The Lineman

The Lineman was a commission.  I love high line wires and how they look in our landscapes, so this was a fun piece to do.  I had so much fun putting all the wires, all the while, wondering how in the world do they know which wire to touch! Thanks to our electricians!

New Mexico Watercolor Society

I just received word that two of my watercolors was accepted into the 2017 Watercolor Show.
Take a Seat and Veterans Day. They are both new paintings. The Saddle is watercolor with the leather detail done with brown ink.  I got this photo at a friends branding.  I got the old truck photo in Comfort, TX.

Carlsbad NM Workshop

This past week I was in Carlsbad NM for a 3 day collage workshop.  It was a great class. We had lots of fun and laughs.  Carlsbad is a fun place to visit.  I did drive around and get a few photos!
