The Lineman

The Lineman was a commission.  I love high line wires and how they look in our landscapes, so this was a fun piece to do.  I had so much fun putting all the wires, all the while, wondering how in the world do they know which wire to touch! Thanks to our electricians!

This is 'Leroy'

I just received word that two of my watercolors was accepted into the 2017 Watercolor Show.
Take a Seat and Veterans Day. They are both new paintings. The Saddle is watercolor with the leather detail done with brown ink.  I got this photo at a friends branding.  I got the old truck photo in Comfort, TX.

Two Shows coming up

My new Painting 'Still Waiting' was jurored into the SWA show in Fort Worth TX. The show is in May.  Also, My mixed media, 'Time to Brand was accepted into the Lubbock, TX Arts Festival.   It is in April.
The Watercolor is 22x28 and the Mixed media Collage is 18x24 on stretched Canvas.
The old car was done with a limited palette, and
The Saddle was one of the hardest pieces I've done. But, I did have fun with it!

Tool Box

Last year I did a tool box painting. It was small and I wanted to do a larger one.
This one has screw drivers in it. I like the yellow in it.

It is poured with lots of masking.

Still Waiting

This old car is close to Hereford, TX. I saw it months ago on the way to a funeral and couldn't stop.  So the next time I went, I kept watching for it so I could stop and get photos.  It had a road down to it, so I went down and got some photos.  The train started squeaking and barely moving, and I decided I needed to get back on the highway since I was alone. It was a little spooky!
I found out later, one of my students in Amarillo owns this car! I can't believe it just sits there all alone...for years it looks like.  I love the look of it with the train and the graffiti.
It is 22x28 framed.
