Second week of World Watercolor Month

This is week 2. I am not following the prompts. I am just drawing and painting what ever I can come up with. I am using a Stillman and Birn sketchbook for all of the ones besides the portraits. They are in a book just for that.

Elephant giclee in Lubbock

I got an email from a woman in Lubbock.  She was at the 'AT HOME' Store in Lubbock and found my elephant painting.  I was excited that it was this close to home!

30 Days of Direct Painting Challenge-June

For the month of June I participated in a group of watercolor artists who did one painting a day with out any drawing. Just directly painting. I didn't quite make the 30 days but almost!

Wyomimg Watercolor Society

I am excited to be accepted in the  33rd annual Wyoming National show.  The show is in Sheridan Wyoming in August.
Saddle Shop and Black Buick will be in the show. The saddle shop was poured watercolor and I didn't like it so I went back and painted it with gouache.  I am surprised it got in because of the darkness.   The Saddle Traders Shop is in Post Tx.
The old car was on the highway near Canyon TX. It was all grown up in trees and weeds. It was a beautiful old car. No telling what stories are hidden away in it!!

Basket of Tops

Love spinning tops! I loved them when I was a kid. It takes some skill to throw them and have them spin.  These are a little different than what we had to play with.  These are more colorful!

Nashville

My daughter and I went to Nashville and had such a great time.  All the signs were so bright and colorful. I loved them all!  Especially this one! It is painted with gouache and will be 22x28 framed.
