Santa Fe #11 is in honor of 9/11. This has been the hardest one to paint yet for some reason. I really struggled with it. I am still shocked at how many doors and gates are in Santa Fe and each and every one is so different!! This is 6x8 acrylic on gessobord.

Don't know what those plants are to the left but they are really beautiful. Love the herringbone pattern of the gate too!
I don't know what the plant is but in real life really pretty. Looks like in the photo it is white with and tiny bit of blue and purple. Plus brown at the roots. Just big spikey plant. I suspect a sage plant...maybe.
