Last year while driving around in Myrtle Beach, we found a house with this beautiful fence covered with flowers. This is 9x12 Acrylic, but am not sure about the acrylics yet. They are messy, and you have to keep putting them out, and I had it all over me! I still love the transparent Watercolors and the collages. I really love oil paintings where all the brush strokes show, and so that is why I was trying the acrylic. I am allergic to Oil paint.

Orange Umbrella

This acrylic is on a 9x12 canvas. It was my first torn paper collage and did not like it. I painted over it with acrylic and put it up for a year, and then got it down to do this painting on, so there is a lot of texture behind the paint. All the umbrellas and chairs where we were were all blue, but with blue sky, blue water, etc. the chair had to be a different color. I have been thinking about going back and putting a green or yellow towel hanging off the chair or the life guard stand. I still need something a lot bigger for my bathroom, so back to the drawing board tomorrow.
I also have some umbrellas and chairs that are multicolored, so that will probably be next.

Myrtle Beach Trip
our first crab legs...not impressed
Myrtle Beach sign
Keri and the Pirate where we ate.
Well, it has been nearly three weeks since I was able to post anything! My daughter and I went to Myrtle, Beach for a week, then when I got home I packed up again, and left for a torn paper collage workshop down close to Marble Falls, TX.Our trip was to SC was awesome! we got there the first night with no luggage. Then when we started home, we got stranded in Memphis TN due to bad weather, but we made the most of it, and went downtown.
It was a relaxing trip. We went to the beach each day. When we opened our curtains, our view was the ocean, and if we opened the balcony doors, the roar of the ocean was unbelievable! Our room was cute and
'beachy' looking. We went to the SC Opry and it was very good. We experienced seafood we never heard of! One by accident. It was Conch, and pronounced Conk. Not impressed with that either.
Everybody there was so friendly, and the beach was so clean. I would go back. Maybe I will have a painting come from our trip at some point in time.
