Wyoming Cowboy

When I went to Wyoming last year, I got some good photos of cowboys! I saw this man the first night, and in our area we don't see these kind of hats, and I was taking photos constantly!  I love the scarves they wear too.  I still want to go back! Maybe next year. It just didn't seem to work out this year.
The workshop is awesome plus all the great subjects to paint or collage.

Wyoming Stream

In 2008 Keri and I went to Wyoming, and this is from one of my photos.
It is so pretty there, and I did NOT do it justice! It is really a beautiful place to visit.

New Sketches

I dug out photos from our trip to Canton, and found some more fun picutres to sketch.
The oil cans and the three Monkeys glass figurines-speak no evil, hear no evil, and see no evil.
After drawing with black ink I  used markers on them, and paint on the faces.  The first sketch is from our trip to Wyoming several years ago. I drew it with ink, then painted with an old flat bristle brush that I cut up. I didn't want the bristles even on the edge.

A Quiet Place

I am not sure which because it all ran together for miles and miles!  It was so beautiful and quiet there.
Art Colony has a challenge each month, and for April it was water, so this is my painting for this month.
It is done on Windsor Newton hot press paper and gouache. It has a different look than transparent watercolor.

Lubbock Arts Festival
