Practicing drawing from Italy Photos

I found some photos of Italy and I have been practicing. We leave Tuesday for Tuscany. I still can't believe it!!  the 3rd one down I was practicing people, just made up the building.

Alzheimer's Walk in MIdland TX

I went to Midland to go to the Alzheimer's walk with my daughter.  It was a nice day. It Rained the night before and was cool.  There were a lot of people there in support of the patients, families and care givers.

Car Show in Midland, TX

Sr.Care had a car show to raise funds for the Alzheimer's association.  There was a really nice turnout.

Dillman's Art Workshop Retreat

I am thrilled that I will be teaching sketching/sketchbook workshop at Dillman's in June 2019. I have gotten their brochure for years, never dreaming I would be teaching there! It is in Lac Du Flambeau, Wisconsin.

My Favorite Sketchbook

Another week of sketching photos from my phone. I just go through my phone and pick out what looks interesting to draw.  I really love the Handbook sketchbooks. I have filled 10 of them, and just ordered 2 more.  There are a lot of pages so it takes a little longer to fill them up.

Down near the bottom, the church and clothesline were done by adding the real photo and painting  around it.  That is a lot of fun, and we did this in a workshop in Ropes Texas.
I will be teaching in Ropes again in Feb.2019, but it will be Collage.

Another week of Sketches

I am sketching in a spiral sketchbook now, since i have had a few people want to buy my sketches.

This way I can take them out of the book with out messing up the entire book, etc.

One of my sketches went to Oklahoma!  It is a cabin from the Cloudcroft trip.

The dark brown one is painted on a brown envelope.  The Mennonite girls were in Cloudcroft, waiting for lunch.  The old car that I did twice is somewhere in Arkansas.

I have been doing small little paintings of Cloudcroft from our fun trip in August.

We painted in class all day, and drove around and took photos. Had a wonderful Barb B Q Dinner, Dinner at the Lodge, that has a scary history! We went out to the old Trestle one afternoon.
We had pizza one night, Not to mention our sandwiches we had for lunch from the Dollar Store.
We had lots of art talk and laughs at night.
Linda Carter had wonderful Breakfast at the Burro Street Boarding House. 
Joyce Hicks is a wonderful artist and person. We all loved her and of course love her art.
She gave away a lot of her small demos and on the last day painted a larger painting of flowers and I won it. I am so proud to have it. If you ever have a chance to go to Cloudcroft you should go! a very small but wonderful little place.
