Keri's Jacks
I still have Keri's Jacks and Kenley's Marbles they played with when they were little.
This was a fun poured painting. I put them on a piece of watercolor paper and set them in the late afternoon sun to get the shadows.

Cement Man
We just got a new fence a couple weeks ago, and this is a painting of one of the men who poured the footing. He is a young man who had his really cute dog with him. I ask him if i could take a photo, and he basically posed like he had done it a gillion times before!
This is poured using 6 colors on arches paper. it is 1/2 Sheet.
This was a lot of fun to do!

Brownfield TX
This old station building is in Brownfield TX. Every time I go through there, I have to look for it, and see what the shadows look like! This is poured instead of being painted with a brush. I still may do some tweaking on it. Once its poured, you have to work with what you have. It is quite a challenge. I really like the texture you get with this technique. I thought my first pouring was too dark, but by going even darker under the drive way, it seemed to work. This is 1/2 sheet so it is large. 22x28 framed.

Sketching at the Rock'n N B and B-Plains TX
Saturday was the day to go out to the B and B and pick your own Lavender. It was a gorgeous day!
I stayed about 4 hours, taking photos and sketching. It is such a fun place to be. Lots to see....and smell!
This is a side view of the house.
Fence posts with old boots!
and a wagon wheel hub, laying in the wild flowers
