I am still working on new collages so that I will have some new work to take to my workshops.
This boot was fun to do. It is 12x12 stretched canvas that is 2" wide.
I painted the flowers with acrylic, and the rest is magazine pages.
I love the cowboy/cowgirl boots! I still want a pair with flowers on them.
The workshops coming up are March 8-10 in Midland, TX
and here at my studio April 29-30.
This is a blog of my art journey. It has been such fun, and God has blessed me with art. If you want updates of my posts, fill in your email address below. New Collage
I am trying to get ready to teach a collage class and need some new work, so here is a new boot.
In the past, the boots have been popular and I enjoy doing them.
I haven't given it a name yet! Right now...'Cowboy Boot'.
It is 6x12.
I am teaching in Midland TX, March 8-10 and April 29-30 here in my studio. If interested, drop me a note. suzy_pal2000@yahoo.com

Take a Seat
I was searching my blog for a painting and I can't find it, so evidently I forgot to post a new watercolor. I painted this back in September.
This was done with watercolor but I drew it with water soluble ink. It is Tobacco Brown, and I love it. It sort of melts when it gets wet.
This is one of my favorite subjects.

I have 8 days of sketching! I have challenged myself to sketch each day for a year! I hope I can follw through. Here are some of the first 8 days of January! I have done some experimenting with just using lines, and I like it!
I have a sketch blog where I am adding each day, if you want to sign up for notifications you can add your email there.

First Painting of the Year
I have been doing some sketches from our trip to Tennessee, which are on my sketch blog
Suzy Pal Sketches I did a barn
and a friend saw it on face book and wanted one like it so I got it done today. I used the same technique using brown water soluble ink. I love this ink. It is by DeAtrementis and is called Tobacco. It just melts into the paper. I really like it! Give the sketches a different look.
This was done on hot press paper which i don't normally use.
