Jack Richeson Award

The West Texas Watercolor Society show starts this week, and I was awarded a Jack Richeson & Co., Inc award.  It is fun to get to go to their website and pick out new paint! I have started using Casein paint and really do like it, so that is my choice of paint!

We just had our West Texas Watercolor Society Show in Lubbock,TX.

My painting 'Johnny Rockett's' won a special award. I haven't had a chance to

try the new little paint sets from cheap Joes yet. Hopefully soon.

Johnny Rockett's

is a hamburger place in Cabo. We were there last summer,

and had a wonderful hamburger!

This month the West Texas Watercolor Society show will hang in the Buddy Holly Center in Lubbock,TX. Ellie won an Honorable Mention.

Fashion Statement Series

'Fashion Statement 3'

This week our West Texas Watercolor Show was judged and I got an honorable mention on this flamingo painting. It is done with an under-painting first. I have done 2 others. This one is the 3rd one.

The show opens this Friday night at the Baker Building in Lubbock, and will be there for a month.

'Garden Chair'

Our fall show started last week, and this painting got a 2nd place.

This chair is in our yard by the pond, and I normally keep some sort of flower on it.

There is beauty everywhere you look! Even in your own back yard.
