First Day of Spring

Today is the first day of spring, and I am ready for it, except for the wind and sand we get!
I am ready for flowers, and blue skies.  I am still working on getting together a demo, and I think this is the winner.  NOW I have to draw off 2 more, paint one, and then take one half painted to the demo, so I can finish it and cut them up. whew! Hopefully they will enjoy it. I see a couple things I need to do different on the next set, so I will tweak it a little.

Je suis certaine que Demoiselle Printemps est ravie... Votre oeuvre est un bel hommage en ce jour particulier.
Gros bisous à vous

I'm still loving these woven pieces. They look so cool! I have more than one painting I may try this with soon.

Suzy, can you tell me how you do this? I have a painting I want to try this with and it suddenly occurred to me that I would need two paintings...one for the horizontal strips and one for the vertical. Am I missing something? I don't have two paintings that are even remotely close in palette to try that! LOL

I also wonder HOW you do this???

Is it two exakt the same paintings? One you cut one way and the other the other way? Is it?
