I painted a new giraffe with fun glasses for a school in Lubbock. it was a fun painting to do!
It will hang in the clinic where the school nurse works, with a couple others that I have done in the same manner.
I hope the kids enjoy seeing it, and that they are inspired to wear their glasses!

Cloudcroft NM
This past week I went to Cloudcroft, NM with 3 other ladies to take a workshop with Joyce Hicks.
It was an awesome week and we learned so much!
left to right.
me, Linda Carter, Connie Michael, Karen Foster and Nancy Standlee.
Linda owns the Burro Street boarding house where we stayed. I highly recommend it! The breakfast was delicious, and the rooms great.
Joyce is so generous giving her art away, and I won the flower painting! The bottom is sketches i did and the last one is a painting I did in her class using her photo and her advice.

One whole month of small watercolor paintings/sketches
I found an app that I think I am going to really like. It is 365 and it is a calendar and each day you add whatever..a photo , painting, etc. I used it for the World Watercolor Month.

New faces
I really like drawing faces. I have filled a couple sketchbooks with them, trying to improve! The bottom 3 are done on my ipad with an apple pencil. I used procreate app. There is so much to that app and it will take forever to learn all of it.
the first one, is pencil with her eyes painted.
The 3rd man was done using two different inks. One waterproof and one not. I wanted it to bleed to make shadows and I wanted some hard lines so I used the waterproof for that part.
